For Outpatients
Outpatient services are designed for those people who need rehabilitation, but can receive that care outside of an acute care or skilled rehabilitation center.
Physician Services
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation provides physician services to the IRR. The department consists of 20 full-time physiatrists and six faculty, who focus on advanced technology and state-of-the-art services.
These physiatrists are experts in brain injury, spinal cord injury, diseases and disorders of the musculoskeletal and peripheral nervous system, stroke, and pain. The department is committed to developing individualized treatments for patients and advancing research.
Centers for Rehab Services
The Centers for Rehab Services provides care at more than
40 locations throughout western Pennsylvania. Services include women’s rehabilitation, speech, physical, and occupational therapy; and sports rehabilitation programs.
Other Outpatient Therapy Services
In addition to Centers for Rehab Services, many IRR locations offer hospital-based services
