Licensing and Certification
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires that any physician entering a medical residency or fellowship training program in the State of Pennsylvania obtain a graduate medical training license. This process takes a minimum of sixty days. Once issued the license is only valid for the dates, specialty, PGY level and hospital that are listed on the license.
